Oil Painting workshop in the Tuscan Hills

Location - A private villa, 25 minutes drive from Florence.

Stay in the heart of the chianti Classico, in the hills 25 minutes drive from Florence.
The farmhouse has been lovingly renovated by two artists and has views over the surrounding olive groves and vineyards enjoying a spectacular sunset over the distant mountains.
​
Amy will run two painting lessons per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. She will provide all of the necessary materials for each guest. The surrounding countryside, the interiors of the house and still-life will be the theme for the week, always painting directly from life.
​
Whilst the week will mainly focus on oil painting, Decima who will host the course is a ceramicist and her pottery studio is next to the house. She will lead an optional intensive morning course on throwing bowls and give guests the chance to use the pottery wheel in their free time during the week with guidance when needed. Guests will also be able to fire and glaze bowls towards the end of the week.

The week will be intensively creative and immersed in nature and​ meals are no exception, fresh eggs and sour dough bread and the very best local produce means breakfast, lunch and dinner will be a daily healthy feast.
​
Guests can choose to come on their own or as a couple, price varies for this. Each room has a double bed with private bathroom. The house is fully equipped with air conditioning and a salt water pool to cool off after painting and potting.
​
The surrounding area is inspiring with ancient hilltop towns and woodland pathways leading directly from the house and meander through the valley.
The fee - 3800 euro for the week which includes accommodation in a private room with en suite bathroom and all meals. All painting materials and tuition.

It is also possible to be a day student, the fee is 1800 euro. Lessons will start at 9.30am, lunch will be provided and the afternoon session will be from 2pm - 4.30pm. You will need to make your own way to the villa each day.

Thursday 27th - Painting lesson, lunch, afternoon painting, dinner.
Friday 28th - leaving day.
