Sight-Size Portrait Painting Workshop

Location - Piazzale Donatello, Florence, Italy
Students will paint the portrait throughout the two weeks. During the first week there will be a portrait model from 9am - 12pm, and students will paint a head study from Monday - Friday. In the afternoons from 1pm - 4pm students will start a larger format portrait incorporating the hands and clothing, and will continue this portrait for two weeks.
During the second week students will start a new head study in the mornings, and continue the larger portrait in the afternoons. By the end of the two weeks students will have painted two portrait head studies (50cm x 60cm) and one 'Kitkat' portrait (90cm x 70cm). All portraits will be painted from life in flat light in the north facing studio. Group size is limited to three students in total, with two portrait setups per session. Amy will demonstrate alongside students, and take turns to work beside each student during the two weeks, as well as giving daily individual critiques at the easel.
The fee for the two weeks is 1750 euro and includes all model fees.
